Civil rights activist, distinguished professor, author and committed yogi, Angela Davis speaks to the need for activists to practice self care. Ms. Davis first began practicing yoga and meditation in prison and over time she learned the value of the collective nature of that practice. As activists attempt to envision the world to come, they must also engage in collective self care so that they can bring their entire selves to the work of imagining and reaching a time of freedom.
