Homeless individuals face many challenges in their present situations, so Gowtham Shola just wants to give them a moment of magic. Shola, an illusionist, walks through the streets of New Delhi, India and performs magic tricks. After asking for a rupee, Shola performs a sleight of hand to transform the single rupee into a 100-rupee note. With a fun and captivating trick, he removes the assumptions or attitudes of giving alms or providing charity. And that will bring a smile to anyone’s face.

This brought tears to my eye- first of all the ability of those with little to trust and to give a rupee and then the beautiful moment of the unexpected gift and the inward and outward smiles each person manifests! Pure magic!

I walk the halls of a local hospital with magic - I also have a couple of magic boxes. One gives out "smiley face stickers (to those who can guess the magic word - kids have no trouble with this. The other magic box has a silver dollar in it. Mostly only the very elderly have the wisdom to open it. Life is magic, if you are magical.
