CNN Hero, Mr. Eddie Canales found his calling soon after his son Chris suffered a spinal cord injury. Together, both son and dad provide support for those high school football players who have suffered similar injuries. With a smile and strong desire to make a difference, Mr. Canales’ mission is to make sure that these kids are not forgotten and are well taken care of. Together these Gridiron Heroes are a band of brothers who never quit and whose camaraderie keeps Mr. Canales pushing to do more.
