This animation, set to the music "Five Armies" by Kevin MacLeod, shows our view of the Moon over the entire year of 2012 with time resolution of *one hour*. Created by NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center Scientific Visualization Studio, the images are based on observations by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, which has been taken super-high-resolution images and altimetry data since it went into orbit in June 2009.
