Bored with sitting in front of a computer all day long, U.C. San Diego Computer Science major Rishi Kumar and a few friends started a community garden on campus. After graduating, Rishi turned the lawns in his family home into a garden, serving the family's needs for all their fruits and vegetables. And Rishi does not plan to stop there. He has green walls and a green roof in mind, as well as grey water systems, to turn his home into a permaculture showcase.
