The spiritual uplift of classical music is transforming lives in Venezuela. A program called "El Sistema" opens doors of musical opportunity to children from the slums of Caracas and other urban centers. They learn to play an instrument and, if they are good enough, to join the national Youth Orchestra. The program has brought music into the lives of 300,000 children, and many of those children out of cycles of poverty and violence.
