Born in central Vietnam, Thich Nhat Hanh became a monk at age 16. During the Vietnam War, he and many of his fellow monks became actively engaged in helping war victims and speaking out for peace. In 1966, he was invited to the U.S., where he met with hundreds of groups and individuals; in 1967, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. nominated him for the Nobel Peace Prize. As a result of his outspokenness, Thich Nhat Hanh was unable to return to Vietnam, and requested and received asylum in France. In 1982, he founded Plum Village, a monastic retreat community near Bordeaux, where he now resides when not on tour. Author of many popular books, this video offers a meditation on "Being Peace" in the voice of Thich Nhat Hanh.

I can no longer find this animation. Can anyone tell me where to find it?

only by establishing peace in yourself can you be helpful in contributing to peace. the best thing a tree can do is be a real tree. the best thing a human being can do is be a real human being.

I let the music play for 10 full minutes. That's all I got. I really admire Thich Nhat Hanh, so I am very disappointed. Hopefully the website will view these comments and try again.

Be the change, be at peace, be comfortable with your thoughts and silence.

Me, too, Lisa. I sat and enjoyed the music, but anxiously awaiting Thich Nhat Hanh's narration. Never came unless it's, as you supposed, a test in patience. And, I failed. (-:

It's possible that there are no comments for this particular video because like myself, maybe others had trouble getting it to play. It either has an extremely long intro (animated man with scribbles over his head set to music) or it doesn't work. Maybe I'm really impatient....which, in that case, I evidently need to work on relaxing. :)
