World renowned photographer, Yann Arthus-Bertrand, released "Home" on World Environment Day, June 5, 2009. Shot in 54 countries and 120 locations over 217 days, "Home" is almost entirely composed of aerial footage showing how everything on earth is interconnected. Though the visually stunning images inspire a sense of awe, wonder, and appreciation for our home planet, this film was produced to awaken a collective conscience and responsibility. "Home" poses the prospect that unless we take responsible action to protect the earth's resources, we risk losing the only home we may ever have.

More hideous green washing by a multinational company engaged in shameful activities across the globe. Just a little due diligence is all it takes to see you are essentially buying in to the feelgood sentimentality carefully orchestrated by big business. Do you really think that Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Boucheron, Sergio Rossi, Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney are interested in the planet?

It goes without saying that the earth and all it's beings, except humans, the last to evolve, is magnificent and breathtaking in beauty, intelligence, sensitivity and compassion. However, we are well past the tipping point. Humans will not exist on 100-125 years, along with all the animals that they are causing to become extinct because of greed. Greed has ruined the planet beyond repair. It's killed the animals to use their bodies in ridiculous and absurd ways based on stupidity, clear cut the forests, made unfathomable holes in our mother earth and more. Way past the tipping point.

Excellent...what is the point in complaining ...rather we need to take actions to sustain the life of planet earth. .... mother earth has expanded in billions of years and lets help it in its expansion...not contraction...

I think many of us take for granted the beauty of nature. this is stunningly beautiful and also so heartbreaking. may we save our planet and the creatures upon it before it's too late. What damage we have done in such a relatively short time. :( I hope we can do the right thing before it really is too late.
